Co-Parenting Books for Long Distance Parents

These books, although not specifically long distance parenting books, center around managing your co-parenting relationship. However, your relationship with your co-parent is crucial to long distance parenting.

Above all else, perhaps, in a long distance parenting arrangement, co-parents must be able to effectively communicate. Certainly no co-parenting relationship is perfect. But it is possible to have a cooperative, helpful co-parenting relationship.

In a difficult co-parenting relationship, at best, every interaction with your co-parent will be painful. At worst, your access to your kids could be limited.

If you want to fix your relationship with your co-parent, one of the first places we instinctively look is for examples. Unfortunately, there are not always shining examples of effective co-parenting around us. Consequentially we need to find resources to help and that’s where these books come in.

If you’ve had trouble communicating with your co-parent, all three of these books come highly recommended from long distance parents. Pick one of them up and tell me what you think in the comments!
